Payments made at the panel clinics will not be reimbursible - you must show your e-card to the clinic staff.

Covers students for bodily injury caused solely and directly by an accident and not by illness, disease or gradual physical or mental wear and tear.
“Accident” or “Accidental” means a sudden, unexpected physical event, which happens during the period of insurance and which must be the only and direct cause of injury.
“Injury” means damage or harm caused to the body by an external force suffered during the period of insurance and which is caused only and directly by an accident. This does not include all medical conditions, diseases, sickness, bacterial infections or viral infections, even if these conditions resulted from, or are connected with, the accident.
Territorial Limit – 24 hours worldwide.

For Referrals to a Singapore Government Restructured Hospital for Specialist Treatment and/or Hospitalisation/Surgery:
If you are referred by a Panel GP Clinic, you are considered a Private patient;
To qualify as a subsidised patient, you must be a Singaporean or Singapore PR, referred by a Polyclinic or A&E of a Singapore Government Restructured Hospital and without reference to a Specialist by name.

Covers visits to a Psychiatrist, Psychologist or Neurologist in a Singapore Government Restructured Hospital.
For Local (Singaporean/SPR) students, the coverage is included under the Specialist Limit of $1,000 per year. For International students, the coverage is up to $2,000 per policy year.
Referral by a Physician or an SUTD Counsellor. Visits to the Psychiatrist without referral is not covered.
Treatment by Private Psychiatrist is not covered.

Territorial Limit – 24 hours worldwide for emergency treatment for accident or acute illness while overseas where immediate medical attention is required (does not cover non-emergency, elective and/or intentionally booked treatment overseas).
Extends to cover international students who return to their home country for treatment.
Charges incurred overseas shall be reimbursed up to overseas charges or B2/B1 charges and plan limits in a Singapore Government Restructured Hospital for similar treatment, whichever is lower.
Extends to cover expenses incurred for stay in a Community/RehabilitationHospital registered and approved by the Ministry of Health of Singapore if recommended by the attending Registered Medical Practitioner up to
maximum 31 days and $5,000, subject to the benefit limits of the insurance.

A LOG is a document issued by the insurer for hospitalisation and/or surgery. With a LOG, the hospital will waive the cash deposit and payment of the hospital bill up to the limits of the insurance and subject to the policy terms and conditions. The hospital will bill the insurer directly.

*The hospital will give these documents to the patient when the admission date is confirmed/during the financial counselling session. The documents will contain the estimated bill, diagnosis and treatment information - this information is required to process the LOG.
The LOG will be emailed to the hospital 1 to 2 days prior to admission after it is approved by the insurer. A copy will be emailed to the student.

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital has a 24-hour walk-in clinic which is NOT an A&E. This is a Specialist Clinic. Thus, referral from a GP is required for visits to the 24-hour walk-in clinic.
